James K. P. Garrison (1847-1914) was undoubtedly named for James Knox Polk, the 11th President of the United States, who served from 1845 to 1849. He was President when James was born.
The 1880 Gage County, Nebraska Census shows James and family living there and the children's birth dates indicate that they moved there from Illinois between 1877 and 1879.

After Lewis died in Blancester in 1878, Harriet still appeared in the Marion Township 1880 Census. Later she moved to Kansas and is buried in the Highland Cemetery in Minneapolis, Kansas.
In 1923, when his mother Sarah died, Robert was living in Guide Rock, Nebraska.
Emma B. is probably the Mrs. Belle Ryder that is listed as the daughter of Sarah E. and Ephraim Garrison in Sarah's 1923 obituary. At the time Belle was living in Toulon.
