Obituary of Laura Jane Garrison:
Mrs. Laura Jane Garrison, 81, passed away December 19, 1950, at Proctor hospital in Peoria. She was born December 26, 1868, at Oxford, Henry county, Illinois. Later she moved with her parents to Knox county where she lived until her marriage to Peter Garrison, December 8, 1886. Mr Garrison died March 24, 1916. To this union was born one son Owen, who passed away in infancy.
She was a charter member of the OES of Yates City, and received her fifty year pin two years ago. She was also a member of the Yates City Presbyterian church. She was ever ready to help those who needed her as long as she was able, and will be greatly missed.
She was one of twelve children, three of whom survive: Sadie Humphrey, of Los Angeles; Lee McKinty, of Peoria; and James McKinty, of Elmwood. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
